Westerschondorf is a district of the municipality of Finning in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .
geography
The hamlet of Westerschondorf is located around four kilometers northwest of Finning south of the A96 motorway .
history
The hamlet was initially called Salichdorf and is mentioned in a document as early as 760. In 1361 Westerschondorf was first referred to as Westernschondorf .
In 1752 an estate is mentioned here. It was owned by the Hl. Geist Spital Landsberg.
Westerschondorf has been an external operation of the Achselschwang estate since around 1830.
Today, the Westerschondorf farm of Bavarian agriculture is located here - a teaching, testing and specialist center for dairy and cattle husbandry.
Westerschondorf belonged to the formerly independent municipality Unterfinning until September 30, 1971 and was incorporated together with this on October 1, 1971 to Finning .
