Unterfinning is a part of the municipality of Finning in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech .

geography

The parish village Unterfinning is located directly north of Oberfinning in a moraine landscape . The Windach flows through the town center .

There is a small moraine lake northwest of the village.

history

To the northeast of Finning there is a former medieval castle , the ramparts and moats are still clearly visible today.

The parish village belonged to the joint office of the Landsberg district court, in 1752 53 properties are counted. The ownership structure was very mixed.

Unterfinning was an independent municipality until it was incorporated into Finning on October 1, 1971.

Attractions

The Catholic parish church of the Mother of God in Sorrows is located in Unterfinning .

In the eastern part of the village there is also the Catholic chapel of St. Willibald from 1620/67.
