The Whisnant Nunatak is a small nunatak on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It rises between the McKaskle Hills and the Maris Nunatak from the mouth of the Rogers Glacier on the east side of the Amery Ice Shelf .

The American geographer John Hobbie Roscoe (1919-2007) mapped it in 1952 using aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946-1947). He named it after Jackson Runyon Whisnant (1928-1969), who was involved in the Highjump reconnaissance flights to create aerial photographs between 14 ° and 164 ° east longitude.
