WiMAX forum

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The WiMAX forum was founded in June 2001 by manufacturers and operators of radio network technology and has the task of certifying the compatibility and interoperability of products that are produced according to the IEEE 802.16 standard . This is to be ensured through plans for conformity tests and certification laboratories. The non-profit organization is based in Clackamas , Oregon.

WiMAX uses the test methods defined in ISO / IEC5 9646 . Ultimately, comprehensive test tools should enable WiMAX-compliant system development. If a product successfully passes the compatibility tests, the label "WiMAX Certified" may be applied.
