Wichburg of Bavaria
Wichburg von Bayern (also Wigburg ) († after 980) from the Luitpoldinger family was the daughter of Duke Eberhard of Bavaria († around 940) and his wife Liutgart of Lothringen-Verdun, daughter of Count Palatine Wigerich of Lorraine. Wichburg's brother Wigfried was Bishop of Verdun from 959 to 983 .
In his first marriage Wichburg was married to a Count Pilgrim of the Pilgrimid family. In her second marriage she married the Bavarian Count Palatine Hartwig I († June 16, 985). There is no absolute consensus among historians about the children from this marriage. They were probably:
- Aribo († around 1027)
- Eppo (Eberhard, Ebrohard), Count in Isengau
- Hartwig , Archbishop of Salzburg from 991–1023
- Egilolf (?), Clergyman
- Wichburg ∞ Count Ottwin in the Pustertal
- Adala of Bavaria , ∞ (I) Count Palatine Aribo I. ∞ (II) Count Engelbert III. vom Chiemgau († 1020) ( Sieghardinger )
