Wickenburg is a small town in Maricopa County in the US state of Arizona . According to the last census, it has 6363 inhabitants (as of 2010) on an area of 29.8 km². The population density is 170.5 / km². US Highways 60 and 93 run through the city .

The city got its name after a gold prospector named Henry Wickenburg from Holsterhausen (Essen) .
