Wiebke Osigus

Wiebke Osigus (born June 27, 1981 in Aurich ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She has been an elected member of the Lower Saxony state parliament since October 15, 2017 . There she represents the SPD parliamentary group as spokeswoman for matters relating to the protection of the constitution, as spokeswoman for the penal system and criminal assistance, and as deputy spokeswoman for legal and constitutional issues.

Life and work

Wiebke Osigus has been a lawyer since 2008 . Since 2014 she has also been working as a mediator at a law firm in Hanover .

politics

Osigus has been a member of the SPD since 2015. In the local elections in Lower Saxony on September 11, 2016, she ran for the first time in elections. She is a member of the Mandelsloh local council and spokeswoman for the local SPD parliamentary group. In an internal selection process, Osigus prevailed over the then incumbent SPD MP, Mustafa Erkan . On October 15, 2017 she was elected as a directly elected member of the Neustadt / Wunstorf constituency. This was the first victory of the SPD in the constituency since 1998. Since 2018 she has led the SPD Neustadt at the top and is also a member of the SPD district executive committee in Hanover.

Private

Wiebke Osigus is married and has three children.
