Until July 31, 1972, Wieblitz was a municipality in the Salzwedel district in the Magdeburg district , German Democratic Republic .

history

On July 1, 1950, the communities of Klein Wieblitz and Groß Wieblitz in the Salzwedel district were merged to form a community called Wieblitz . On July 25, 1952 Wieblitz was reclassified to the Salzwedel district. On August 1, 1972, the communities of Wieblitz and Eversdorf were merged to form the community of Wieblitz-Eversdorf . Wieblitz was thus dissolved. Groß Wieblitz and Kleinwieblitz became districts of Wieblitz-Eversdorf.

In 1955 the first type III agricultural production cooperative, the LPG "Gute Hope", was established, which in 1960 comprised an agricultural area of ​​574 hectares. The first type I LPG was not formed until 1960. She managed 59 hectares. In 1964 there were 248 inhabitants in the community.
