Reconstruction and the economic miracle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Reconstruction and the economic miracle was the title of the Bavarian State Exhibition from May 7th to October 11th, 2009 in the Martin von Wagner Museum in the Würzburg Residence . With over 365,000 visitors it was a crowd puller and until 2011 the most successful state exhibition in Bavaria.

The exhibition documented the destruction at the end of the war, the subsequent start of (re) construction, the upswing from the end of the 1950s and the onset of the economic miracle . Photos, film and sound documents, but also everyday objects such as a kidney-shaped table and a foosball table were used for the presentation .
