Wielenberg (Freienwill)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wielenberg ( Danish. Hvilbjerg od. Vilbjerg , angel Danish. Vilbjerre , ndt. Wielbarch ) is a district of the municipality of Freienwill in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . At just under a kilometer from the independent city of Flensburg, it is closest to it and is therefore the northern part of the municipality. Wielenberg is one of the four districts of Freienwill (Freienwill, Kleinwolstrup and Kleinsolt ). It is located in the Hürup district, which also includes the villages of Ausacker , Husby , Maasbüll , Großsolt and Tastrup , and in the parish of Kleinsolt ( Lille Solt Sogn ).

The place name is composed of adän. bjærg (Mdän. bjerre , ndt. barch ) for hill, hill and Danish. hvile for linger, rest . It could circumscribe a hill on which the shepherds dwell. An interpretation with a source reason for Danish would also be possible . væld , which in Angel Danish was spoken with a closed i . The forms Wormshuy and Wormshöy have also survived .
