About this picture

Tastrup ( Danish : Tostrup ) is a municipality near Flensburg in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Tastrup has existed in its current form since 1974, when parts of Adelby were incorporated into Flensburg.

Geography and traffic

Tastrup is located on the south-eastern outskirts of Flensburg near Hochfeld and Kattloch . Tastrup is politically involved in the Schleswig-Flensburg district and belongs to the fishing region . The Eckernförde Landstrasse runs to the west from Flensburg to Schleswig , to the north the old Landstrasse (L 21) from Flensburg via Husby and Sterup to Kappeln , to the south the old road from Flensburg via Missunde to Eckernförde with connections to the middle fishing. The district of Kleintastrup is located east of Tastrup-Dorf. A little further south of Kleintastrup is the small settlement Tastrupfeld . Tastrup-Dorf as well as Kleintastrup and Tastrupfeld are located directly on the city limits of Flensburg. The Tarup district of Flensburg can be reached via Tastruper Weg. Tastrup is also not far from the Ringstrasse, the K8 and the Osttangente , via which all parts of the city, especially the Flensburg city center , can be reached quickly.

Tastrup-Dorf, Kleintastrup ( Lille Tostrup ) and Tastrupfeld ( Tostrupmark ) belong to the municipality.

history

Prehistory of the area

In the prehistory of Jacob Röschmann's Flensburg district, one can read that around 30 individual finds from the Middle and Younger Stone Age were made in and around Tastrup . It is z. B. Flint axes, flint daggers, flint points and around two gold coins in the peat bog. A grave mound from the Younger Stone Age was registered on the outskirts of the village . The finds suggest that this part of Fishing was also inhabited as early as the Stone Age. From the Angels graves we know that cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and dogs were the domestic animals of the Younger Stone Age.

Arable farming was not practiced or only in the simplest form. Around the year 100 AD we still imagined fishing as a heavily forested area, criss-crossed by swamps and water, little built up and sparsely populated. Agriculture later made significant progress. The monasteries, which cleared the forests and carried out exemplary agriculture, contributed primarily to this.

Tastrup in the Middle Ages

Tastrup is first mentioned in 1423 in writings from the Kingdom of Denmark . The teacher J. C. Friedrichsen writes about the name “Tastrup” in his book Expansion, Population and Classification of fishing :

“It is doubtful whether individual names still contain pagan names of gods. Such can only be proven with certainty in the places created by nature like Berg, Holt, Lund, hardly in human works, to which Stedt, Thorp belong. The name of the god Thor was believed to be found in Taarstedt, Torsballig, Tordschell, Torsberger Moor, Tastrup, but they can also be derived from the people Thori, Thord, Tosti and Thorsten "

Tastrup belonged to the Adelby parish when it was founded , because Adelby was the so-called mother village and Tastrup a so-called daughter village, i.e. a village that was founded by settlers from the village of Adelby.

Until the German-Danish War in 1864, the place belonged as part of the Adelby parish (Adelby Sogn) to the Husbyharde in Flensborg Amt within the Duchy of Schleswig . After 1864, Tastrup came to Prussia and Germany for the first time .

In Tastrup there was a train station of the small railway line Flensburg-Satrup of the Flensburg district railway . This route was opened in 1901. In the well-known chronicle of Pastor Jensen from Gelting , Tastrup is mentioned in connection with the vote after the First World War . The chronicler writes that the vote in the second zone on March 14, 1920, in contrast to the first zone, took place on a communal basis, so that afterwards any small parts could still be moved to Denmark if the votes were favorable. In the second voting zone (Flensburg, northern fishing and North Frisia), 51,196 of the votes cast were for Germany and 13,207 for Denmark. In Tastrup, 158 citizens voted German and 11 Danish.

The railway connection over the southern route of the Flensburg district railway to Hürup and Satrup was discontinued in 1938. In the Tastrup song said train station, as well as the dairy and the savings and loan fund are mentioned. The station building is now owned by the municipality and leased as a restaurant. The dairy was closed in 1934 by the Reichsnährstand, against the will of the Tastruper. The village's savings and loan fund (founded in 1904) later merged with the Freienwill's savings and loan fund .

After the Second World War , the Kleintastrup district was essentially created.

Until 1970 Tastrup belonged as an independent municipality to the Adelby office. But then on January 1, 1970, the previously independent municipality Sünderup and the municipality Tarup were dissolved. They formed the new Adelby Parish . Tastrup also lost its community status shortly thereafter. It was added to the new Adelby parish on February 15, 1970. Adelbylund , in which the municipal administration was located, had long since grown into Flensburg and since 1950 it had been expanded to the south. It was assigned to the Fördestadt on April 26, 1970. Soon after, on March 24, 1974, Sünderup and Tarup joined the city of Flensburg, but Tastrup did not. From then on, Tastrup formed the last remnant of the municipality of Adelby with its districts, the municipality of Adelby . On January 1, 1980, the name of the municipality was officially changed to Tastrup . Since the Tastrup remained as the only district in 1974, it has remained part of the Hürup district.

Tastrup nowadays

As already mentioned, the actual municipality of Adelby was incorporated into the city of Flensburg in 1974 and Tastrup was left alone. There are still strong ties to the Flensburg districts that used to belong to the Adelby community. Tastrup is still part of the Adelby parish and the schools and kindergartens in Tarup and Adelby are attended by the children. There are also connections to the Tarup and Sünderup volunteer fire departments . With the constant expansion of the Sünderup district , Flensburg is growing closer and closer to Tastrup. In 2007, a first area of Tastrup was taken over, so basically incorporated and has been built on since then. Due to the planned new development area Tarup Southeast, the district of Tarup will continue to grow in the near future and, like Sünderup today, will merge with Tastrup. Since around 2015, Flensburg has been so densely populated that it is no longer possible to create new living space there. The growth of the city and the surrounding area is inhibited and the issue of incorporation therefore plays a role again.

In the coat of arms, the middle part of the building front of the Tastrup train station on the small railway line Flensburg-Satrup is shown. The two beech leaves indicate that beeches are the predominant tree species in the kinky district. The division of the sign into three fields is dedicated to the districts of Kleintastrup, Tastrupfeld and Tastrup-Dorf, which make up today's municipality. The color scheme in blue and gold is based on the colors of the Schleswig-Flensburg district.
