Location of the community of Stangheck in the Schleswig-Flensburg district | ||
Stangheck ( Danish : Stangled ) is a municipality in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The municipality includes Groß-Bojum ( Bodum ), Mariannenhof, Pattburg ( Paddeborg or Patborg ), Regelsrott ( Regelsrød ), Rundhof ( Rundtoft ), Tranbüll ( Tranbøl or Tranebøl ) and Stangheck.
history
Rundhof (Danish: Runtoft ) was first mentioned in 1231 as Runaetoft , Stangheck in 1607 as Kätnerdorf of the estate. The name Rundhof is a corruption of the Danish name. It probably refers to a personal name "rune" and the ending Toft for a fenced area. In the Middle Ages, Rundhof was a lordly castle, which, however, came into aristocratic possession early on and was finally a noble estate from 1460 at the latest. This developed into the largest in Angling and one of the most powerful in the eastern Duchy of Schleswig . Gut Rundhof has been owned by the von Rumohr family since 1557 . The late baroque brick mansion with cavalier house and horse stable was built in 1754. Due to the considerable depth of the building, the mansion has two parallel hipped roofs . Today the estate is privately owned and cannot be visited. However, concerts are held in the mansion's domed hall in summer.
Rundhof and Stangheck belonged to the parish of Esgrus , which also included today's rural community of the same name and today's municipality of Niesgrau . However, Rundhof has always formed its own legal district, which not only included large (but not all) parts of the parish and other possessions to the east and south of the same, until the 17th century also free float in central and western Schleswig . However, the remote properties were gradually sold, and from the 17th century onwards, some of the farms were also detached from the main farm and became independent estates.
From 1771 new parcels were divided, in 1805 serfdom was abolished. In 1853, the landlord's jurisdiction, which had been limited since 1805, ended. In 1864 and finally in 1867 the Duchy of Schleswig became Prussian. Rundhof became its own parish, which, however, was limited to the immediate vicinity of the main courtyard. Stangheck became an independent rural community to which the manor district was attached in 1928. Stangheck was not affected by the amalgamation of municipalities in the immediate vicinity in 1970.
