About this picture

Stolk is a municipality on Ochsenweg in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein .

Basland, Helligbek ( Danish : Helligbæk ), Niederstolk ( Nedre Stolk ), Norderfeld, Oberstolk ( Øvre Stolk ), Schmöhl ( Smøl ), Schwenshöh, Stolkerfeld and Süderfeld are in the municipality.

In 1984, Stolk was the first village in Schleswig-Holstein to receive the state award as an environmentally friendly municipality. The renaturation of the Lüngmoors ( Lyngmose ), a raised bog , began in the 1980s .

The monument to General Friderich Adolph Schleppegrell ( Battle of Idstedt ) and the old mill are striking for Stolk .

geography

The elongated community area extends from the 16 m high sand plain of the Schleswig Geest in the west over inland dunes to the 55 m high eastern hill country, so that the watershed is also in the community area.

The district town of Schleswig is about 8 kilometers south of Stolk.

Community representation

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the CDU has five seats since the 2013 local elections, the AWG electoral community has three, the Greens have two seats and the SPD has one seat.
