About this picture

Rabenholz ( Danish : Ravnholt ) is a municipality in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The street village is south of Gelting . In the municipality are Priesholz ( Prisholt ) and Steensiek ( Stensig ).

history

Gut Priesholz, manor house

Rabenholz was first mentioned in 1462 as Rauenholt ( Rabenwald ) and belonged to Gut Gelting , but since 1710 to Gut Priesholz, which has been separated from it and is still in the municipality today.

Good Priesholz

It is believed that the name of the estate originally meant Pris Forest. In 1596 it was mentioned as the Meierhof, around 200 years later a village was built around the Meierhof.

The original mansion dates from 1634 and was replaced by a neo-baroque building due to a fire in 1902. Gut Priesholz is now privately owned and used for agriculture. The former farm buildings (old dairy, farm workers' cottage) were rededicated as holiday apartments. The manor cannot be visited.

politics

Community representation

Since the local elections in 2013, the AfWG voter community has all nine seats in the local council.

coat of arms

Blazon : "On a strongly flattened golden hill, inside two black ravens facing each other, in blue four bare silver trees, the crowns of which disappear in the upper edge of the shield."

economy

The community is predominantly agricultural, but there are also some holiday accommodations. There are a few smaller craft businesses and a horse breeding business and riding stables on site.

The three wind turbines

There are three wind turbines at Gut Priesholz . These are to be replaced by five new Enercon E-92 systems, 150 meters high . Hans-Heinrich Franke, Mayor of the neighboring community of Hasselberg , filed an objection against the permit, which was granted in January 2015. Of a further three systems applied for, two were rejected.
