The street village of Dbodstedt is located in the moorland on the Treene and Rheider Au . The districts of Bünge (Danish. Bynge ) and Klove are in the municipality.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1462 as Dorpstede ( village place ). Since 1970 the community has belonged to the Kropp office and since 2008 it has been part of the Kropp-Stapelholm successor office .

Community representation

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the constituency AWG had four seats since the local elections in 2008, the electoral group KWG three and the electoral community ADB two. In the local elections on May 26, 2013, the turnout was 53.3 percent. The ADB accounted for 31.3 percent, the AWG 34.4 percent and the KWG 34.3 percent. Each of the electoral communities won three seats.

Mayoress

Inka Gottburg-Heuer (AWG) was elected mayor for the 2013–2018 election period. She succeeded Klaus-Peter Neumann, who had been in office since 2003.
