history

The place was first mentioned in 1330 as Dalderup ( village in the valley ).

In the municipality, ducal wolf hunts are said to have taken place in the past.

Dollerup belonged in the Danish kingdom (until 1864) to the Duchy of Schleswig and to the Grundhof office , which was in Husbyharde . Within the Harde it belonged to the Langballig-Dolleruper Trint , which corresponds almost exactly to the Grundhof parish .

With the arrival of the Prussian administration (1867), the centuries-old order changed: The Husby, Munkbrarup and Nieharde were combined to form the Hardesvogtei Glücksburg . In the Grundhof parish there were eleven municipalities ( Bönstrup , Grundhof , Lutzhöft , Unewatt, Dollerup, Langballig , Nordballig, Westerholz , Dollerupholz , Langballigholz and Terkelstoft) as well as the manor districts of Lundsgaard and Freienwillen . The Unewatt estate was added to the municipality of the same name.

Since 1888 the Flensburg circular railway stopped in the place. The train stop created an economic upswing. The station management (1898) with hall was demolished in 1972 and transformed into a village square. Buildings still exist from Streichmühle station. The cooperative dairy Dollerup (1896-1971) and the savings and loan fund Dollerup (1902-1970) were settled. A postal agency was created. There were also machine cooperatives such as a threshing cooperative and a bush chopping cooperative .

coat of arms

Stone with coat of arms in the town center

Blazon : “Divided by blue and gold. Above a red-tongued silver wolf head, below a red heart that covers two diagonally crossed black arrows with the tip pointing downwards. "

The two coat of arms colors blue and golden yellow are reminiscent of the colors of the Schleswig-Flensburg district. The silver-colored wolf head symbolizes freedom, nature and courage. It should remind of the history that in the 17th century wolf hunts were held in the districts of Terkelstoft, Nordballig and Dollerup. The heart is a symbol of community and reminds of Dollerup's former membership in the Husbyharde.

economy

The southern part of the municipality is predominantly agricultural, in the northern part residential use predominates.
