Kim Schmidt (born May 16, 1965 in Flensburg ) is a German comic artist and cartoonist .

Works

In 1983 the weekly Flensburg advertising paper Moin Moin began publishing Schmidt's comic strip Öde . From this series about a lazy man and later his bizarre grandma, around 1,400 episodes and five anthologies were published by December 2015. 2017 appeared with Das Was Öde. Comics from 1983-2015 a complete volume of the series. Schmidt is also featured in the Flensburger Tageblatt weekly with cartoons on local politics in Flensburg. The animal cartoon series Local Heroes has been published weekly in all 18 regional editions of sh: z since 1996, and has also been published in 16 edited volumes by Flying Kiwi Verlag , which Schmidt founded in 1988 with Jens Junge . Schmidt also published at Carlsen , Tokyopop and Achterbahn . His first publication by Carlsen was Unser Schumi , a satire on the hype about Michael Schumacher , with Lutz Mathesdorf as the author. This was followed by an adventure comic about the youth by Klaus Störtebeker , written by Patrick Wirbeleit , and the cartoon series Prince Charming about frogs and princesses. For Tokyopop he drew the two-volume comic Little Thor in manga format , also based on texts by Wirbeleit. Cartoon maps by Schmidt are already available for all German federal states, maps with local features and corrupt city ​​names (e.g. "Kokshaufen" for Cuxhaven or "Humbug" for Hamburg) were drawn. Kim Schmidt lives in Dollerup , a community in the Schleswig-Holstein region of fishing .

Comic drawing course

Another work by Schmidt is the comic drawing course in three volumes, in the course of which two books have already been published ( Great Cinema and Das Liebe Buch ).
