(16 years).

action

The figures are based on the original series of the three ??? and experience their adventures in and around Rocky Beach, but there are deviations in the design of the stories. The adventures of the three ??? Before the original series The three ??? instead and describe the childhood life of the three detectives.

The three ??? Justus Jonas, Peter Shaw and Bob Andrews are ten years old, live in Rocky Beach, a fictional California coastal town that lies between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara , and specialize in solving cases of all kinds. Your headquarters is the "coffee pot", a discarded water tank on a disused railway line. This is their meeting point so that they can investigate undisturbed by their parents and the police. The three ??? are under the police care of Commissioner Reynolds, whom they often meet while solving the cases. He repeatedly refers to them as his "special unit".

characters

Justus Jonas

Justus lives with his aunt Mathilda and his uncle Titus, because his parents were killed in an airplane accident when he was five years old (in some cases in a car accident). Justus' uncle is the owner of the Titus Jonas used goods center . Jupiter doesn't like it at all when he is called “chubby” because he loves food above all else and also has a few pounds too much on his ribs. He's fond of chocolate for life. As the leader of the detective trio, he is interested in questions and riddles of all kinds. His distinguishing feature is the white question mark. Later he would like to turn his hobby into a profession and become a criminologist.

His hobbies are swimming, athletics, and case solving with Jupiter and Bob. Despite his sportiness, Peter is sometimes a little scared, but shows courage when it is necessary. Its distinguishing feature is the blue question mark. Peter states that he would like to become a professional athlete, detective and at least 100 years old.

Bob Andrews

Bob wears glasses and is a real bookworm. He can remember almost everything that he has read once, which often helps the three detectives. His father works for a major newspaper publisher, the Los Angeles Post . Besides rummaging through books in libraries, Bob likes listening to music, going to the movies and his favorite drink, Cola. Its distinguishing feature is the red question mark. Professionally, like his father, Bob would like to become a reporter for a large newspaper and continue to pursue his detective skills.

In 2012, the Pocket series was revived after six novels in the Pocket format were published in 2006 . With the end of the legal dispute between Kosmos and Europe ( → Further information on the legal dispute ), Europe took over the production of the radio plays, with the result that new main speakers were hired and the radio plays that had already been released were remixed. On March 13, 2009, both the first six episodes appeared in a new version, as well as new unvoiced episodes.

The radio plays are produced by Ulf and his brother Gunnar Blanck. Ulf Blanck is also responsible for the dialogue script and the direction. Recordings are made in the Funk studio in Hamburg and the Johannes Steck studio in Munich. The title melody comes from the Hamburg composer and producer Frank Ramond . The music was recorded by Jens Lueck, who also co-composed the atmospheric music for the radio plays, in the Art of Music Studio together with the Hamburger Alsterspatzen children's choir from Hamburg under the direction of Jürgen Luhn.
