Thomas Arnold (born May 13, 1971 in Freiberg ) is a German actor .

Life

The trained confectioner graduated from 1990 to 1994 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rostock . At the age of six, the young Thomas Arnold received state funding and from the age of 13 he played at the municipal theater in his native Freiberg. This was followed by engagements at the Volkstheater Rostock and the Stadttheater Trier , where he appeared in 1997 as Kobold Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream based on William Shakespeare .

In 1996 Thomas Arnold made his debut in front of the camera in the film Two and a Half Minutes by Rolf Schübel , in which the incident in the Berlin S-Bahn on the night of November 16, 1990 is discussed. In the two and a half minutes driving time between two stations there was a scuffle between young Germans and Turks.

Further role offers followed. On the one hand, Thomas Arnold played in various television films such as the 2000 film Big Fish, Small Fish , directed by Peter Welz . In 2004 he played alongside Ulrich Mühe in The Last Witness .

Thomas Arnold repeatedly takes on roles in various crime series, for example in Siska (2003 and 2005), Wolffs Revier (2004), SK Kölsch (2005), Tatort (guest appearances in 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007 and recurring supporting role since 2012), Der Alte (2006), SOKO Kitzbühel (2007) and Coast Guard (2007) and Notruf Hafenkante . Arnold shot the film Distance together with fellow actors Ken Duken , directed by Thomas Sieben.

Thomas Arnold is the father of the actress Louise Sophie Arnold (* 2001).
