Utz Richter
Utz Werner Richter (born June 23, 1927 in Olbendorf , Strehlen district , Lower Silesia ; † September 10, 2015 in Hamburg ) was a German actor , radio play speaker and voice actor .
Life
Utz Richter was the older of two children of the landowner couple Alwin Ernst Richter and Waldtraut Ephigenie Richter, née. Thomaschke. At the age of seven, the family moved to Reichenau near Dresden . He started school there and passed his secondary school diploma shortly before the end of the war . In 1948 he went to Hamburg . In 1953 he came to Helmuth Gmelin at the Theater im Zimmer , where he took his acting training and gained his first stage experience. Other venues included Schleswig , Düsseldorf , Frankfurt am Main , Berlin and his adopted home Hamburg. Here he appeared mainly at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater and at the Hamburger Kammerspiele with Ida Ehre . His stations in Berlin included the Hebbel Theater , the Theater am Kurfürstendamm and the Theater des Westens . He described the role of Mr. Schultz in the successful musical Cabaret as one of his most important performances at this theater , in which he appeared together with Helen Schneider , Hildegard Knef and Wolfgang Reichmann .
In 1959 he appeared in front of the camera for the first time in the field of the second part of the multi-part Am Grüne Strand der Spree in Seefeld ( Tyrol ) . In this episode, which took place in Norway, he played one of the main characters alongside Wolfgang Büttner , Hans Pössenbacher and Adolf Ziegler . Although the multi-part series was a street sweeper when it was first broadcast the following year , his film and television career did not really get off the ground. In addition to various supporting roles, he played the title role in Mr. Kannt in 1968 . In the later years, he also appeared on several popular television series. One of his favorite roles here was the lawyer Kehlhausen in Die Drombuschs with Witta Pohl and Günter Strack .
He also played in series such as Polizeiruf 110 , Unser Charly , Großstadtrevier or Urlaub vom Leben . Since the 1980s he also worked as a voice actor.
In radio plays he was often in series such as Larry Brent , Macabros , TKKG , Geisterjäger John Sinclair or Die drei ??? to listen. His distinctive voice was also heard in the Bluna commercial ("Aren't we all a little Bluna?").
Utz Richter lived in Hamburg and worked well into old age, especially in the production of audio books and commercials .
The urn burial took place on October 13, 2015 in the area of chapel 13 at the Ohlsdorf cemetery .
