Klaus Dittmann

Klaus Dittmann (born August 15, 1939 in Cologne ; † December 20, 2016 ) was a German actor and voice actor whose professional focus was on the theater.

Life

Dittmann first learned the foundry and became a graduate engineer in this field. Since the 1950s, he also occupied himself with acting, on which he finally put his professional focus. As a theater actor, he has appeared on stages in Rome, Paris, Madrid, Basel, Mannheim, the Deutsches Theater Berlin , the Schiller Theater there , the Frankfurt Municipal Theaters and under Giorgio Strehler at the Piccolo Teatro di Milano in Milan. Since 1970 Dittmann lived and worked in Hamburg, where he was employed at the Thalia Theater for twelve years .

Since the 1970s, Dittmann has also regularly taken on roles in film and television productions. He played in Thomas Schamoni's Iceberg of Providence , in Max Willutzki's social drama The Fist in the Pocket and in Carl Schenkel's thriller Cold Kisses . In addition, he took on numerous guest roles in television series and series such as Tatort , The perpetrator on the trail , Special Department K1 , The Men from K3 , Hamburg Transit , Motif Love , On behalf of Madame , The rescue pilots , Forbidden Love , Our Hagenbecks , Finkenwerder stories and Metropolitan area .

Dittmann also worked extensively as a speaker for radio, radio drama and film dubbing. He recorded various audio books such as Hercule Poirot's Christmas (based on Agatha Christie ) and lent his voice to various children's radio plays from labels such as maritim , Europa and auditon . For example, he embodied the rattler in the auditon adaptation by Karl Mays Winnetou and the chief inspector Reynolds in the European series Die Drei ??? Kids . As a dialogue director he was responsible for the German version of the series Superman - The Adventures of Lois & Clark , in which he dubbed the foster father of the title hero, played by Eddie Jones , in a recurring role . His best-known role for the cartoon is that of Cyril Sneer in the series The Raccoons .

Dittmann was a passionate sailor. He was involved in viticulture on the Moselle for almost 50 years.

Klaus Dittmann died on December 20, 2016 at the age of 77.
