Husbyharde

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Husbyharde ( Danish : Husby Herred ) was a harde in Schleswig . It is still known today as a landscape name. The Husbyharde area is in northwestern Angling .

In the Viking Age , the fishing peninsula initially consisted of five Harden that belonged to the Istathesyssel . The main place of the Husbyharde was Husby . So it was the seat of the Husbyharde for a long time. The Husbyharde parishes included Husby, Hürup , Adelby (the nucleus of Flensburg ), Rüllschau and Grundhof , Glücksburg , originally also Munkbrarup (cf. Munkbrarupharde ). In the late Middle Ages, however, ecclesiastical and aristocratic property was withdrawn from the Harde jurisdiction and in some cases was not subordinated to it again until 1853.

The Husbyharde thing site was near a fork in the road near today's St. Vincentus Church in Husby, later in the old Husbyer Dorfkrug. The Hardesting functioned as a lower court until 1867, when the district was placed under the newly created district court in Flensburg .

The symbol of the Husbyharde is a stylized wooden house with an implied finial . The symbol is shown in the coat of arms of the municipality of Husby and in the angler coat of arms. At times, the representation of two crossed arrows with a heart in front of them was used as a symbol for the Husbyharde.

Later the Husbyharde came to the Flensburg office , later the Flensburg district .
