The glacial formed by glacial Wielkie Koryciska is a valley in the Polish West Tatra in the Lesser Poland . It is located in the municipality of Kościelisko in the powiat Tatrzański .

geography

The valley is a side valley of the main valley Dolina Chochołowska . It is located in the Koryciańska Czuba massif .

The mountain stream Koryciańska Siklawa flows through the valley and forms a 30 meter high waterfall in the valley.

etymology

The name can be translated as "Great Koryciska Valley", it comes from the Koryciańska Czuba peak .

Flora and fauna

The valley lies below the tree line and is overgrown by coniferous forest. The valley is a retreat for numerous mammals and bird species. The Slovak pasque flower , which is rare in Poland, occurs in the valley .

There is a high mountain climate in the valley.

tourism

The valley is a strictly protected nature reserve of the Tatra National Park and is not accessible to hikers.
