Wilbrand von Raesfeld

Wilbrand von Raesfeld (* in the 16th century; † August 1585 ) was cathedral vicar in the prince-bishopric of Münster .

Life

Wilbrand von Raesfeld came from the Westphalian noble family von Raesfeld , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. Its members were followers of the Catholic faith . He was the son of Wilbrand von Raesfeld zu Empte († 1583) and his wife Margarethe von Wischel, she was an heir. His brothers Heinrich , Rotger and Johann Wischel were canons in Münster, his uncle Gottfried von Raesfeld cathedral dean . On September 26, 1560 Wilbrand became vicar of the cathedral in Münster. In this function he supported the cathedral chapter in its spiritual activities. He died in August 1585. Heidenreich Letmathe was his successor.
