Wilfried Rott

Wilfried Rott (born September 20, 1943 in Vienna , † October 20, 2011 in Berlin ) was a television presenter and cultural journalist .

Life

Rott, born in Vienna in 1943 , worked for the Sender Freies Berlin and rbb from 1977 to 2008 . Most recently, Rott, who moderated the programs “Ticket” and “Berlin Views”, was the head of the “Current Culture” department. Since 1999 he has been teaching at the Berlin University of Music "Hanns Eisler" . He also worked as an author for the FAZ and Die Welt , for which he wrote columns . He also wrote books. His works include Die Insel: A History of West Berlin 1948–1990 from 2009 and Sachs , published in 2005 : Entrepreneurs, Playboys, Millionaires. A story of fathers and sons . Wilfried Rott is the brother of the Austrian actor Klaus Rott (* 1941).

Rott died on October 20, 2011 at the age of 68.
