Wilhelm Tönnis Medal
The Wilhelm Tönnis Medal was donated by the German Society for Neurosurgery in honor of Wilhelm Tönnis and was first awarded in 1989. The award is given at irregular intervals to neurosurgeons "for outstanding achievements in the field of neurosurgery". The award also includes honorary membership in the German Society for Neurosurgery. The prize is awarded at the company's annual meeting.
