In 1699 he bought from the war council, colonel and commanders of the fortress Heldrungen , Rudolph von Bünau zu Roßbach, a desert site and garden belonging to the Roßbacher Gut in the village of Leiha and several fields in the corridors of Leiha and Almsdorf and combined these with his property in Bedra. At the beginning of the 18th century the pigeon homes established a manor in Leiha. On October 11, 1717 he did the same with the manor Schalkendorf, which he bought from Hans Rudolph von Klengel auf Rösen.

Towards the end of his life, Wilhelm Christoph Vollrath von Taubenheim found himself facing more and more financial bottlenecks, so that he was forced to borrow a large amount of money from the University of Leipzig .

When Taubenheim died at the beginning of 1721, his property in Bedra, Schalkendorf and Leiha fell to his son Johann Adolph von Taubenheim , who was canon of the Naumburg bishopric . Furthermore, Taubenheim had left the daughters Friederica Elisabeth married von Burgsdorff in Weißenfels , Johanna Magdalene married von Heßberg, Wilhelmine Dorothea married Marshal von Bieberstein and Christiana Wilhelmine von Taubenheim. After the death of the father, there were disputes among the siblings about the paternal inheritance, which dragged on for several years and were only settled through a settlement.
