Wilhelm Cuntz

Wilhelm Cuntz (born May 24, 1849 in Hochheim am Main , † June 23, 1909 in Wiesbaden ) was a German medic.

Career

Cuntz was born the son of a court judge and appellate judge . He attended the royal scholar high school in Wiesbaden. He then studied medicine. After his license to practice medicine in 1873, he settled in Wiesbaden as a general practitioner.

He gained a professional reputation for the treatment of internal illnesses and made great contributions in establishing a school doctor organization.

In 1905 he built today's cultural monument in Bierstadter Str. 9a, and in 1906 the cultural monument in Bierstadter Str. 9 in Wiesbaden.

His son was the physician Wilhelm Cuntz (* 1888 in Wiesbaden; † 1957). In 1952 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for his services to the organization of the medical profession as chairman of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Wiesbaden, which he was from 1945 to 1956 .
