Wilhelm Fix

Wilhelm Fix (born April 21, 1948 in Hamm ) is a German civil engineer . He has been Professor of Building Materials Science at the Münster University of Applied Sciences since 1993 .

Life

Fix studied civil engineering at RWTH Aachen from 1968 to 1974 and in 1975 took over the chair for structural design at RWTH Aachen. In 1982 he did his doctorate with the subject of the aging behavior of plastics as a Dr.-Ing. From 1986 he was employed by MC-Bauchemie in Bottrop . Since 1989 Fix has been working in his own engineering office for building consulting and building physics in Schermbeck and is an appointed and sworn expert for damage to buildings, in particular building physics and building protection. In 1993 he took on a teaching position at the Münster University of Applied Sciences as a professor for building materials theory and in the building materials laboratory. Fix is ​​the author or publisher of 50 specialist publications.
