Wilhelm Gilson

Wilhelm Gilson (born February 16, 1916 , † September 7, 2007 in Eschweiler ) was a German energy manager.

Life

Wilhelm Gilson studied electrical engineering and was awarded a Dr.-Ing. PhD. He was a board member of Main-Kraftwerke AG in Frankfurt am Main . He was also the managing director of Rheingau Elektrizitätswerke GmbH in Eltville. He was chairman of the supervisory board of Lahnkraftwerke AG in Limburg and Energieversorgung Bad Ems GmbH . Gilson was chairman of the board in Hessen of the Association of the Electricity Industry . In 1975 he was elected to the board of the German Committee for Electric Heating at the VDE (DK-EW).

He was involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land . In 1974 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fuerstenberg and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 4, 1974 by Lorenz Cardinal Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . Most recently he was an officer in the Papal Lay Order.
