Wilhelm Gleisner
Carl Wilhelm Gleisner (born March 24, 1803 in Pyrmont , † December 25, 1873 in Hamburg ) was a German politician.
Gleisner was the son of the court cellar master Wilhelm Gleisner and his wife Christiane nee Heiner. He married Christiane Amandine Heller on February 10, 1826 in Nieder-Wildungen.
Wilhelm Gleisner studied law and worked as a lawyer from 1827. From 1829 to 1835 he was city secretary in Nieder-Wildungen, 1835 government assessor and 1842 government councilor.
From 1829 to 1835 he was a member of the state parliament of the principalities of Waldeck and Pyrmont . After the March Revolution he was de facto head of government of the Waldeck-Pyrmont government from 1848 to 1851 . After the victory of the reaction he was public prosecutor from 1851 to 1866 and from 1866 to 1873 consistorial director in Arolsen.
From 1855 to 1856, 1863 to 1866 and 1868 to 1871 he was again a member of parliament and from 1863 to 1866 Vice President of Waldeck's state parliament. From 1856 and from 1868 to 1871 he was President of the State Parliament.
From 1856 to 1856 he was a member of the special state parliament for the Principality of Pyrmont .
