Wilhelm Hagen (biologist)
Wilhelm Hagen is a German biologist and professor of marine zoology at the University of Bremen .
Life
Wilhelm Hagen studied marine biology at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel . In 1988 he was with the work On the importance of lipids in the Antarctic zooplankton doctorate .

Hagen and his group work on the ecology of the arctic zoo and phytobenthos and deal with the biodiversity of the deep sea. Many research undertakings take place in cooperation with the Alfred Wegener Institute Bremerhaven . Hagen works with Juliane Filser , Thomas Hoffmeister , Hans Konrad Nettmann and Martin Diekmann , among others .
Hagen teaches marine zoology in the biology courses of the University of Bremen and in the master's course at the Center for Tropical Marine Ecology .
