Wilhelm Hausmann (born August 23, 1970 in Oberhausen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia again since July 4, 2019 .

Life

Wilhelm Hausmann grew up in Oberhausen and passed his Abitur in 1990 at the Bertha-von-Suttner-Gymnasium . After completing his military service, he began studying architecture and urban planning at the University of Dortmund . In 1996 he graduated as a graduate engineer . He worked in an architecture office until he became a freelance architect in 1998.

politics

Hausmann joined the Junge Union in 1988 . Since 2004 he has been a member of the Oberhausen city ​​council . In 2003 he became district chairman of the CDU Oberhausen. He ran in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 , 2012 and 2017 as a direct candidate for the CDU in the Oberhausen I state electoral district . He received 25.2%, 21.0% and 28.7% of the first votes. Due to his list position 35, he moved into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia after the state election in 2012. He was a member of the state parliament until the end of the 2017 legislative period, when his 14th place on the list no longer moved because the CDU won all of its 72 seats through direct mandates. On July 4, 2019, he replaced Stefan Berger , who had moved to the European Parliament .
