Wilhelm Jacobi (* 1881 ; † 1962 ) was a German politician of the SPD , mayor of Langendreer and mayor as well as chief town director of Wanne-Eickel .

Life

After the First World War , Wilhelm Jacobi was appointed bailiff of the Langendreer office. He held the office from taking office until the incorporation of the Langendreer office in Bochum on August 1, 1929. During his tenure there were efforts to merge with Werne to form a medium-sized town, but ultimately failed. During this time, following the occupation of the Ruhr, Jacobi himself was sentenced by a French military court to six months' imprisonment for resistance, from which he returned to office in autumn 1924.

A few months after the end of the Second World War , the British military government transferred Jacobi to succeed Karl Neuhaus as Lord Mayor of Wanne-Eickel from July 24, 1945 to March 5, 1946 . In the course of the formation of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia , Jacobi was the first to take the newly created position of senior city director of the city of Wanne-Eickel until March 31, 1947.

The Protestant Wilhelm Jacobi was born with Rosa Jacobi, who died in 1926. Illfelder married, with whom he had their son Werner (1907–1970).
