Wilhelm Kattwinkel (politician)
Wilhelm Kattwinkel (born April 26, 1883 in Stephansohl an der Volme , † January 27, 1953 in Essen ) was a German politician.
Life
The son of a farmer attended elementary school and the rectorate school. Between 1897 and 1900 he did an apprenticeship as a businessman . He worked as a sales representative until 1912 and took part in the First World War between 1915 and 1918 . From 1920 he was active in the German Völkischer Schutz- und Trutzbund . On August 1, 1929, he joined the NSDAP . In 1932 he became chairman of the district court in Essen. From 1935 he was on the city council of Essen. On March 29, 1936, he ran unsuccessfully in the Reichstag election , but on February 26, 1937 he replaced the retired MP Friedrich Neven . He was also a member of the Reichstag in the following electoral term.
