Wilhelm Keßler (life dates unknown) was a German football player .

Career

Keßler belonged to VfB Leipzig as a defender and played his point games from 1901 to 1903 in the championships organized by the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs , first in the North West Saxony region , next to the Dresden championship, then next to the East Saxony region , one of the two regional highest divisions. In the following season emerged as the winner from the Gau Nordwestsachsen, he played on May 3, 1903 against the Dresdner SC , the winner of the Gau Ostsachsen, for the Central German Championship; the game in Dresden was won 4-0. Due to the success, qualified for the final round of the German championship , he made his debut on May 10, 1903 in the 3-1 quarter-final victory over the BTuFC Britannia 1892 from Berlin. He also participated in the semifinals on May 17, 1903 in Leipzig , in the 6-3 victory over Duisburg SpV ; but not on May 31, 1903 in Altona in the 7-2 final victory over DFC Prague .
