The Central German Football Championship 1903/04 of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs (VMBV) was the third season of the Central German Football Championship . This year's championship was held again in two Gauligen, the winners of which should meet in a final game. The final was postponed, however, due to the late time, this game was not played either. The association therefore announced VfB Leipzig as the defending champion for the German soccer championship 1903/04 , in which the Leipziger, like last year, was able to advance to the final. Before the final was played, however, the DFB canceled this year's football championship and no all-German champions were chosen.
The association later made the decision that the Central German master of the previous season should automatically also be the Central German master of the 1903/04 season.
The clubs in the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs were again divided into three districts (Gaue) in the 1903/04 season, with only the winners of Gaue I and II qualified for the finals, since Gau III only functioned as a lower class league. The Magdeburg clubs were still organized in the Association of Magdeburg Ball Game Clubs and played their own football champions. Furthermore, the associations of the Chemnitz Football Association and the Thuringian Football Association were not yet members of the VMBV and were therefore not allowed to take part in the Central German football championship.
cGame was rated for the Dresdner SC because the Mittweidaer BC had not canceled in time.
District III
The Gau III had the status of a lower class league, so the winner could not take part in the Central German football final. This season, SC Erfurt , FC Preußen Weißenfels and BSC Hohenzollern 99 Merseburg played in 1st class . The second class consisted of the second team of SC Erfurt, as well as the Weißenfelser SC 1903 and the SC Naumburg .
Championship final
The winners of Gaue I and II were qualified for this year's final. The final, which originally took place in Leipzig on June 5, 1904, was not held and was postponed to June 19, 1904. However, this game was not played either, so it was decided at a meeting on July 23, 1904 not to play the final because of a tight schedule. As the defending champion, VfB Leipzig had already been registered for participation in the German soccer championship.
