The Central German Football Championship 1911/12 of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs (VMBV) was the eleventh season of the Central German Football Championship . This year's championship was held again in numerous regional Gauligen, the winners of which met in a knockout round . By a 1: 0 win after extra time over the FC Wacker Hall could SpVgg 1899 Leipzig Lindenau win their first Central German league title. With this victory, the Leipziger qualified for the German soccer championship 1911/12 and after a 3-2 win against ATV Liegnitz reached the semifinals, in which the Leipziger had to admit defeat to the Karlsruhe FV with 1: 3.

Clubs qualified for the Central German final round 1912
(Round reached: red = 1st round, yellow = quarter-finals, purple = semi-finals, blue = finalist, green = winner)

In the 1911/12 season, the clubs were divided into 17 districts (Gaue), the winners of which played the Central German Football Championship. The introduction of a top football league for Central Germany was discussed on the 24th day of the association on February 24 and 25, 1912, but ultimately failed because of the rejection of the Leipzig clubs. The Gaue Kyffhäuser and Elbe-Elster are newcomers, but this year they have not yet participated in the Central German football final.

Gau East Saxony

After the end of the league operations, the Dresdner SC and BC Sportlust Dresden were tied, so that a decider was necessary. However, since the Central German football finals began immediately afterwards, the VMBV decided on March 21, 1912 that the master of East Saxony will automatically go to the second round if he names the master of gaume within eight days. The playoff for the Gau championship, however, was not played until July 21, 1912, so the Gau Ostsachsen did not have a participant in the Central German football final this season.
