The Central German Football Championship 1906/07 of the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs (VMBV) was the sixth season of the Central German Football Championship . This year's championship was held again in regional Gauligen, the winners of which met in a knockout round . With a 1-0 win over Magdeburg's FC Viktoria 1896 , VfB Leipzig was able to successfully defend its Central German championship title and became Central German football champions for the fourth time. With this victory, the Leipziger qualified for the German soccer championship 1906/07 , in which the semi-finals were reached by bye . In this semi-final, however, the defending champion lost 2: 3 against eventual tournament winners Freiburg FC and was eliminated.

The clubs in the Association of Central German Ball Game Clubs were divided into seven districts (Gaue) in the 1906/07 season. On the 13th Association Day of the VMBV on August 18 and 19, 1906, it was decided to join the Plauener Ballspielvereine , for which a new division was introduced with the Gau Vogtland. The Gaue Saale, Thuringia and Vogtland were, however, only lower class and were not allowed to send a representative to the Central German football final.
