Wilhelm Kemper

Wilhelm Kemper (born August 30, 1904 in Barmen ; † July 30, 1968 ) was a member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia, first of the center and later of the CDU .

Live and act

After finishing elementary school, Kemper trained as a locksmith. He worked in this profession until 1946. From 1924 to 1933 he was a member of the Center Party and the Union of Christian Miners . From 1929 to 1933 he was district shop steward.

Since 1946, Kemper was a trade union employee for IG Bergbau . Politically, he was initially again a member of the center after 1945 and of the CDU from 1949.

In 1946 Kemper was a member of the Provincial Council for Westphalia and in 1946 and 1947 a member of the appointed Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was then a member of the elected state parliament until 1958 . In the second and third legislative periods he was directly elected MP for Beckum-West.
