Wilhelm Ketteler (* before 1590, † after 1596) was canon in Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Wilhelm Ketteler came from the Westphalian noble family von Ketteler , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. He was the son of the former canon Hermann Ketteler zu Altassen and his wife Adelheid von Diepenbrock. They married in 1577. His brothers were:

On June 7th, 1591 Wilhelm came into the possession of a cathedral inspector with the revolt to the families Ketteler, Diepenbrock, Beesten and Stael . After a short time, on October 6, 1592 abandoned it to its sinecures and married on June 4, 1595 Anna from Hege, daughter of Adrian from Hege and Agnes von Merveldt . The daughter Gertrud (* 1596, ∞ Dietrich Hermann von Merveldt ) emerged from the marriage.
