Dietrich Ketteler (* in the 16th century; † June 2, 1641 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in Münster .

Life

Origin and family

Dietrich Ketteler came from the Westphalian noble family von Ketteler , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. He was the son of the former canon Hermann Ketteler zu Altassen and his wife Adelheid von Diepenbrock. They married in 1577. His brothers were Johann Vollrath (* 1590, State Secretary and Mayor of Pewsum) and the Münster canons Hermann , Rembert , Konrad and Wilhelm .

Dietrich took on 2 June 1590 by his authorized representative, vicar Bitter Raesfeld that Dompräbende possession to his brother before Konrad dispensed had. In his will of February 25, 1640 he paid tribute to his siblings, cousins ​​and nieces and his daughter Anna Riese (* 1609, canons in the Blumenthal monastery ). Dietrich Ketteler was buried on June 10, 1641 in Münster Cathedral.
