Hermann Ketteler

Hermann Ketteler (* after 1577 ; † in the 17th century) was canon in Münster and Hildesheim .

Life

Origin and family

Hermann Ketteler came from the Westphalian noble family von Ketteler , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. He was a son of the former canon Hermann Ketteler zu Altassen and his wife Adelheid von Diepenbrock. They married in 1577. His brothers were:

When Hermann received the tonsure on March 2, 1619, Hermann was prepared for a spiritual life. To test the suitability of the pen, he presented the coat of arms on March 4th. On April 3, 1619, he took possession of the Dompräbende of the late Canon Lutzo of hote . Hermann waived on June 3, 1626. He was also canon of Hildesheim.
