Wilhelm Lamprecht (born October 31, 1838 in Altenschönbach (district of Prichsenstadt ), † March 19, 1922 in Munich ) was a German painter .

Nothing is currently known about Lamprecht's family of origin, youth and education. He emigrated to the United States and probably lived in Cincinnati ( Ohio ) as early as 1853 .

He died on March 19, 1922 at the age of 83 in Munich. His grave is in the Munich North Cemetery .

In March 1870, Lamprecht married the German Auguste Susanne Streck (1848–1933) in Hamilton (Ohio ). His daughter was the wife of the publisher Ludwig Pustet (1870–1933).
