Wilhelm Lempken

Wilhelm Lempken (born February 20, 1914 in Homberg am Niederrhein , † May 22, 1982 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1950 to 1966 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Wilhelm Lempken began a commercial apprenticeship after elementary school in 1928 and then worked as a commercial clerk . From 1936 to 1938 he had to do military service, in 1939 he was drafted into military service. He was taken prisoner of war, from which he was released in 1946.

Lempken was a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth from 1928 to 1933 , and from 1931 as deputy chairman of the SAJ sub-district of Moers . From 1929 to 1933 and then again from 1946 he was a member of the SPD. In the SPD sub-district of Moers, Lempken was managing director from 1946 to 1952, then deputy chairman until 1965.

From 1948 to 1956 he was a member of the district council in Moers, from 1948 to 1976 councilor and parliamentary group chairman in the city ​​council of Homberg.

Lempken was elected from the second to the fifth legislative period as a direct candidate in constituencies 40 (Moers-Süd) and 41 (Moers-Ost) in the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament and was a member of parliament from July 5, 1950 to July 23, 1966.
