Wilhelm Mauer (politician)

Wilhelm Mauer (born February 25, 1903 in Raunheim ; † February 21, 1974 ibid.) Was a Hessian politician ( KPD Hessen ) and former member of the state parliament of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Wilhelm Mauer was the son of railway worker Heinrich Mauer and his wife Berta nee Rühl. Wilhelm Mauer was married to Luise, born Rich. From 1921 to 1930 he worked as a lathe operator at Opel in Rüsselsheim . There he was a member of the RGO . Wilhelm Mauer was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1931 to 1933. After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he fled to Switzerland in 1933.

Wilhelm Mauer was active in local politics in Raunheim after 1945. On June 29, 1948, he was elected as an alderman on the parish council of his home parish.
