The DJ of the good mood (* 1955 in Grimlinghausen , bourgeois Christian Horsters ) is a German DJ from Neuss .

Life

Christian Horsters spent his childhood in Orsoy and at the age of 11 he went to a boarding school in Xanten . After graduating from high school, he began studying economics in Cologne , which he ended early. He then took a job as a wholesaler for Ikebana accessories, which he held for a little more than a year. He started his apprenticeship as an office clerk at the age of 26. After 28 years in the office job, he quit in 2011 in order to pursue his dream of becoming a freelance artist.

The DJ became known after his bizarre appearance at a wedding party in Bergisch Gladbach in May 2010 was filmed by a guest, the cameraman Sven Lützenkirchen, and uploaded to the YouTube video portal . In the background of the clip you can hear the songs "One Love" by David Guetta featuring Estelle , followed by "Memories" by David Guetta featuring Kid Cudi , to which the DJ intensely addressed with great joy and fun at work. The video went viral on the net. It has been viewed millions of times worldwide and taken up by national and international media. David Guetta himself seemed to find the video funny and referred to it on Twitter .

The DJ in a good mood was parodied as Guido Westerwelle on Switch Reloaded and was featured in a commercial for the German DIY chain OBI .

Since December 2010 his single “Hands in the Sky” and the double CD “The Happiest DJ's Party Mix” have been distributed on the EMI label .

Christian Horsters is married and has two adult sons. He is publicly committed to preventing food waste.
