life and work

From 1903 he worked as a catechist in Vienna. He built his religious didactics on the teachings of Otto Willmann . With his work Catholic Religious Booklet for the lower classes , introduced in 1931 , the content of religious instruction was reformed.

The Catholic Catechism of the Dioceses of Germany , developed in 1955 on behalf of the German bishops by Klemens Tilmann (1904–1984) and Franz Schreibmayr (1907–1985), followed the didactic catechisms of Heinrich Stieglitz and Wilhelm Pichler.
