Wilhelm Rullmann (bailiff)

Philipp Christian (Christoph) Wilhelm Rullmann (born December 10, 1801 in Lich ; † June 7, 1865 in St. Goarshausen ) was a bailiff, judicial officer and member of the Nassau state parliament.

Wilhelm Rullmann was the son of the War Collegiate Director and Privy Court Judge Philipp Christoph Rullmann (* August 12, 1768 - July 4, 1828) and his wife Sophie Charlotte Christiane nee Knorr (* July 25, 1778; † January 12, 1862). Wilhelm Rullmann, who was of Protestant denomination, married Augusta Elisa Marie Georgetta Christina Wilhelmine nee Müller (* December 17, 1807, † May 25, 1883), the daughter of the superintendent Justus Balthasar Müller.

Life

After attending school in Wetzlar and 1817-1818 high school in Weilburg he studied from 1820 to 1823 at the University of Goettingen law . From 1823 to 1830 he was an official advisor in the offices of Hochheim , Rüdesheim , Braubach and Meudt . From 1831 to 1840 he was official secretary in the offices of St. Goarshausen , Braubach, Weilburg and Runkel . In 1839 he became an official assessor. In 1840 he became a bailiff and served in the Marienberg (1840–1842), Reichelsheim (1842-−1845), Herborn (1845-1845), Eltville (1854–1859) and St. Goarshausen (1859–1865) . In 1864 he was appointed judiciary and retired.

In a by-election for Carl Schenck , who had not accepted his mandate, Wilhelm Rullmann was elected to the second chamber of the estates of the Duchy of Nassau in constituency II (Herborn) in 1852 , to which he belonged until 1857.
