Wilhelm Tieke

Wilhelm Tieke (born January 16, 1923 in Görike ; † September 15, 2012 in Gummersbach ) was a German military writer. Tieke learned the saddlery trade . He participated in the Second World War as a member of the Waffen SS . Until 1959 he ran his parents-in-law's farm in Görike. Then he moved to the Oberbergischer Kreis and worked for the automotive supplier Teves in Bergneustadt . As a part-time job and after his retirement in 1986, Tieke wrote military history books with a focus on World War II for right-wing extremist publishers such as Winkelried-Verlag , Munin-Verlag and Pour le Mérite-Verlag . In addition, Tieke wrote a volume for the series Der Landser in 1966 and published it in Der Freiwillige , the magazine of the veterans of the Waffen SS.
